Crossover & Stair Securements

A crossover has to clear a pipe run and hold a person carrying tools. It's real structural load, and it usually ends up on sleepers, curb blocks, or whatever the crew could set that day. Crossover & Stair Securements carry the stringers and platforms on U-Anchor® bases, engineered for the span and attached to the roof. The U-Anchor® is a component of the roof, not something sitting on top of it.

How it works

It starts with a U-Anchor®, a component of the roof, sealed watertight at the point of attachment. Everything else connects your equipment to that one point.

The anchor
2000 Series or 3000 Series — depending on which one

The part that carries the load. A galvanized steel plate with rolled edges that protect the membrane sits under a cover membrane matched to the roofing brand, type, and color, leaving a stainless stud at the surface for everything else to bolt to. Which one you use is decided by the membrane on the building, not by the equipment.

The hardware

What connects your equipment to that stud. Supplied with the solution, and sold on its own where a job needs more of them.

The fittings

Walking surfaces, Framing material, Fastening hardware — fitted to the equipment itself rather than to the roof.

Why it works

WATERTIGHT
Every support sets on a U-Anchor® base with a Compression-Free™ seal, so the roof assembly and its warranty stay intact. No sleepers spreading load across the membrane, no ballast working loose under foot traffic.
ENGINEERED
Supports are sized for the span and the traffic they carry. Crossovers, steps, and stair stringers all land on structure that was engineered before it shipped. Nothing improvised on the deck, and nothing that has to be re-leveled next season.
PROVEN
Installed on commercial roofs nationwide, across every common membrane, on new construction and retrofits alike. The same attachment method carrying pipe and equipment on those roofs carries the stair.
