Wall Mounted Guardrail

Perimeter protection usually means a ballasted rail: a line of counterweights on the membrane, heavy to place and permanently in the way. Where a parapet exists, there's a better attachment point. Wall Mounted Guardrail fixes to the wall in high-tensile aluminum. It's permanent, needs no counterweights, and stays clear of the roof surface entirely.

The assembly from every angle

A run of wall-mounted guardrail along the parapet, on 3000 Series U-Anchors.

How it works

It starts with a U-Anchor®, a component of the roof, sealed watertight at the point of attachment. Everything else connects your equipment to that one point.

The anchor

The part that carries the load. A galvanized steel plate with rolled edges that protect the membrane sits under a cover membrane matched to the roofing brand, type, and color, leaving a stainless stud at the surface for everything else to bolt to. Which one you use is decided by the membrane on the building, not by the equipment.

The fittings

Guardrail wall post, Guardrail wall mount bracket, Guardrail handrail, Guardrail kneerail — fitted to the equipment itself rather than to the roof.

Why it works

WATERTIGHT
The entire run mounts to the parapet, so nothing sits on the roof surface. No ballast pressing into the membrane, and nothing to work around at re-roof.
ENGINEERED
High-tensile aluminum engineered to exceed OSHA guardrail criteria, backed by a 10-year warranty. Fixed rather than ballasted, so the rail holds its specified position with no counterweights to place or reset.
PROVEN
Installed on commercial roofs nationwide. The same fall protection approach used across the roof edge, mounted to the wall where a parapet allows it.
