The U-Anchor is included in the warranties of our roofing manufacturer's network
This Warranty shall be null and void if, after any installation of the roofing system by an Authorized Applicator, there are any alterations or repairs made on or through the roof or objects (overburden) such as, but not limited to, structures, fixtures, solar panels, wind turbines, roof gardens or utilities placed upon or attached to the roof without first obtaining prior written approval. Solar panel installations require additional documentation and building owner authorization.Please allow this letter to confirm that the attachment systems are allowed in conjunction with roofing membrane as an attachment point, for roof mounted equipment systems, provided that it is flashed by an approved Authorized Applicator. This letter only refers to the compatibility of the attachment systems when used on the membrane. This is not an endorsement or representation of any warranty regarding the overall performance of the attachment itself or the workmanship associated with its installation. The membrane manufacturer does not produce or sell any of the attachment systems listed above and does not assume any liability or warranty for the performance and watertight integrity of these products. Damage that may occur as a result of the installation or use of any of these attachment systems, including any movement of the attachment systems causing cracking or failure of the watertightness of the membrane, is not covered by the Warranty.Subject to all of the warranty terms of the Manufacturer Warranty, the manufacturer warrants that the branded membrane utilized in the attachment are compatible with the Roofing System. If installed by an Authorized Applicator, the seam between the membrane flashing membrane on the warranted roof system will be covered under the terms of the Warranty. Damage done to the Roof System by the attachment system or any overburden attached to it, are the sole responsibility of the building owner

What is Overburden?

Overburden is anything placed on a roof that was not part of the original roof assembly. Whether the roof is brand new or decades old, added items are considered overburden and must be approved by the manufacturer to avoid impacting or voiding the warranty.

Common examples include roofing solar systems, vegetative roofs, HVAC units, plumbing, and plaza decks. Each must meet manufacturer criteria to maintain warranty coverage.
