Existing Mechanical Tie Down
Most rooftop units in service were set before anyone asked how they'd hold in high wind. The unit runs fine, the curb is fine, and then a code review or an insurance inspection says it needs to be secured. The usual options are replacing a curb that isn't broken or improvising something on the deck. Existing Mechanical Tie Down secures the unit where it stands, cabled to U-Anchor® bases added years after the roof went on. Each Compression-Free™ base is considered a component of the roof and included in the roof warranty.

How it works
It starts with a U-Anchor®, a component of the roof, sealed watertight at the point of attachment. Everything else connects your equipment to that one point.
The part that carries the load. A galvanized steel plate with rolled edges that protect the membrane sits under a cover membrane matched to the roofing brand, type, and color, leaving a stainless stud at the surface for everything else to bolt to. Which one you use is decided by the membrane on the building, not by the equipment.
What connects your equipment to that bolt. Supplied with the solution, and sold on its own where a job needs more of them.
