Will this attachment work with my racking system?
U-Anchors are used for all photovoltaic and solar thermal racking systems. Placement of the anchors will be determined by the racking manufacturer or the local structural engineer. You can find more information about the products on each product page, or contact us for assistance.
Will this void the roof warranty?
Our products are Roofing Manufacturer Accepted, meaning we have partnered with major roofing manufacturers to ensure that our U-Anchor products are compatible and acceptable for all types of installations.
If I place an order this afternoon, will it ship today?
U-Anchors are custom manufactured to meet the client’s needs and orders are taken on a first come first serve basis. Most products ship within the same week and sometimes the next day depending on the product ordered.
How much does it cost?
Anchor Products custom manufactures U-Anchors according to the requirements of each roof type and roofing manufacturer’s specifications. To assist customers better with project planning, the U-Anchor 2400 Single Ply, U-Anchor 2600 Asphalt, U-Anchor 2600 Coatings and the U-Anchor 2000 are all priced the same. This allows for accurate quoting of projects prior to knowing the exact roof type or brand. The U-Anchor line of products is also available through many of your favorite distributors. Can I use the U-Anchor together with a ballast?
U-Anchors have been proven to reduce and/or even eliminate the need for ballasts on a roof. Most commercial rooftops in the U.S. cannot support the weight of a ballasted solar rooftop system, so Anchor Products has developed lightweight rooftop attachments that are sturdy enough to withstand high winds and heavy seismic activity.
What are the spacing requirements?
Most spacing is determined by the racking manufacturer or project engineer for the planned system installation.
How long does it take to install each U-Anchor?
We offer products that have greatly reduced the installation time for photovoltaic systems. The time of installations has been measured from 2-1/2 minutes to 5 minutes per anchor.
How strong is the U-Anchor?
U-Anchors are patented and tested to extreme conditions for uplift and sheer and they are the strongest anchor of their type in the marketplace. Please see our Testing page to view our testing information.
