Colleyville, Texas – Anchor Products has introduced the U-Anchor, U2400 for customers preferring a direct connection to a structural element of the building. Most of Anchor Products offerings, including the U2000, do not penetrate the membrane.

The first installation of the new U2400 was on a well known, but undisclosed project in Los Angeles County, California. This project required the U-Anchor rooftop attachments to be connected to a structural element of the building. U2400 is attached by fastening through the roofing assembly into the structural decking with the approved fasteners and is then a cover is sealed to the roof membrane in a manor accepted by roofing manufacturers.

“The U2400 was developed to accommodate projects that desire penetration expanding our offerings and continuing our solution based services to solar integrators that require our expertise in roofing to develop a flawless rooftop solar project, ,”explained Anchor Products’ President Joel Stanley.

U2400 is a lightweight rooftop attachment system consisting of a 5.5” galvalume coated steel plate with a 3/8” – 16 x 1.5” tall stainless steel stud. The cover is factory sealed to the top of the plate. The product weights just 0.75 lbs on most membranes, but can vary depending on the membrane.

The U2400 was tested in accordance with ICC-ES AC467 Section 3.2. Third-party independent testing found the product to have approximately 4,000 lbs of ultimate shear load capacity and approximately 3,000 lbs of tension, and they can perform in conditions that exceed hurricane force winds, including Superstorm Sandy, due to the high tensile strength and shear strength.

The U2400 and all of Anchor Products rooftop attachments re backed with our industry best warranty.
