Installation for U-Anchor 2400 Single Ply

On this page you'll find instructions for installation of the U-Anchor 2400. There are two different methods, one method for the TPO/PVC/KEE types and another method for EPDM types. Please scroll down to read more about each method.

TPO, PVC and KEE

  1. Prepare the roof surface by removing all loose debris and clean the area in accordance with the roofing manufacturer recommendations.
  2. Place the U-Anchor 2400 over the roof membrane and align as per engineering requirements using the notched alignment marks on each side of the membrane cover.  Fasten using 2-4 fasteners as specified.
  3. Hot air weld the entire perimeter edge of the U-Anchor membrane cover to the roof surface below. (Weld should be consistent with the roofing manufacturer recommendations or a minimum 1.5 inches whichever is greater)
  4. Ensure a proper seal has been achieved by probing the perimeter edge using an approved seam probe.

EPDM

  1. Prepare the roof surface by removing all loose debris and clean the area in accordance with the roofing manufacturer recommendations.
  2. Clean the EPDM roof surface using an approved membrane cleaner for the membrane type and brand.
  3. Apply an approved Seam Splice Adhesive Primer to the roof membrane where the Double Sided Die Cut Adhesive will be placed and allow to dry before continuing.
  4. Peel back half of the release liner exposing the adhesive.
  5. Carefully align the Double Side Die Cut Adhesive and place into the desired position.  Do not stretch or pull the adhesive. Center the U-Anchor 2400 over the Double Sided Die Cut Adhesive and fasten using 2-4 fasteners as specified.
  6. Apply an approved Seam Splice Adhesive Primer to the exposed underside of the U-Anchor 2400 Single Ply cover and allow to dry before continuing.
  7. Remove the top release liner and press the membrane cover into the adhesive being careful to avoid wrinkles.
  8. Using a weighted membrane roller firmly roll the entire surface of the U-Anchor membrane cover to ensure a proper bond is achieved.
  9. Firmly roll the perimeter edge to embed the perimeter edge of the membrane.  If you are unable to embed the edge of the membrane into the adhesive cut edge sealant may be needed to prevent the membrane reinforcement from wicking moisture.
