Our Executive Team
CEO & President
As president, Joel partners with industry leaders to provide engineered solutions to global challenges. Joel has over 35 years of experience working with thermal plastic membranes and has been involved in the production of various formulas of thermal plastic films, as well as the assembly of membranes designed to cover large open areas. Joel has developed and produced hundreds of prefabricated accessory items for use with thermal plastic membranes, the attachment of solar materials, and flashings that prevent air/water leaks at penetrations and perimeter edges. Throughout his career, Joel has developed and managed sales and distribution networks throughout the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean Islands.
Joel currently holds multiple patents involving membrane attachment solutions and has several other patents pending in the U.S. and Internationally.
Director of Engineering
Gary Calderwood has over 25 years experience as a project engineer, project manager, and Director of Sales and Engineering. Prior to joining Anchor Products, Gary was President of Ardent Heat Sealing Company, a designer and manufacturer of custom portable welders, turnkey automated mechanical and electrical engineered systems for solar fastener, commercial roofing and marine industries company.
In 1995, he led the Engineering team at Item North America on over 300 projects from conceptual design to detail engineering, procurement, and construction. As Director of Sales/Engineering for Hapco in 1999, Gary grew distribution to 35 million by offering turn-key engineering services and working partnerships with roofing manufacturers.
Gary’s education includes the University of Akron Design Engineering & Cleveland Institute of Electronics. Currently, he is an International consultant on welding systems for thermal plastic single ply roofing materials. Gary’s experience, education, and expertise brings valuable service to the Anchor Products leadership team.
Director of Sales and Marketing
Byron is a graduate of Texas A&M Corpus Christi's CCBIC entrepreneurship program with 17 years experience in the energy sector ranging from lighting, HVAC, energy efficiency, renewable energy and finance. He has founded, consulted and advised multiple companies in the renewable energy and emerging technology space to successful outcomes. Byron's comprehension of sales, marketing, recruitment, operations, construction, and the energy sector allows Anchor Products to effectively serve the roofing and solar industries.
